Ms Njobe is a proficient leader with over 20 years of Executive leadership and over 15 years of experience serving on Boards across various sectors. Her extensive multidisciplinary expertise and experience have been in public, private, and not–for–profit sectors. Notable was an Executive at the CSIR, Aveng Group and WWF SA.
She possesses vast knowledge and specialised expertise in climate action, biodiversity conservation, water resource management, sustainable finance, and circular economy strategies. She also has proven leadership of operational business units and functional areas, including human capital and strategic communications.
She is the current non-executive Director of the Hans Merensky Legacy Foundation and serves on the Governing Board of the University of Stellenbosch’s School of Climate Studies. She previously chaired the South African Weather Service, Sasol Inzalo Public RF and the Technology Innovation Agency boards.
Her qualifications include an M.Sc. Zoology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA. She completed several short courses on management, innovation, business and sustainability management, business and climate change, sustainable finance, and ESG: Navigating the Board’s Role.
She is currently researching climate-related financial information disclosures to fulfil an M.Sc. Finance and Investment qualification at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
